they are in cultures that  instill loyalty, inspire creativity, and support  their professional growth.

"It takes more than training to build that kind of culture.  It takes a coach and the tools to unlock thought patterns that create resistance to change".  You can spend thousands of dollars on training your team with the best sales and customer service programs available.  If they are blind to their biases or unclear, themselves, on how they think, it's money down the drain.

Welcome to Growth Management Associates, consultants in Interpersonal and Organizational Development & specialists in the Hospitality Industry.

It would be ideal if we could mold our employees from birth; but it's not possible.  Most OD companies would tell you we can't change who we are after about age 5. Personality profiles & surveys can pretty much peg who we are & even predict how we'll behave.  Until now, there wasn't anything available to affect "real change" in "thinking".

If you can influence someone's thoughts you can change their world.

Can people really change?

Yes,they can, even at very core levels of their psyche.  How?  By exposing their clarities and biases & creating a strategy & plan to reinforce new insights.

A great hotel product will sell itself, up to a point.  But it's the team that will close the deal.

It all starts with the mind & attitude but conviction alone won't insure success.  I’have trained hundreds of hotel employees with the finest programs known , but in the back of my mind I’have always wondered: will the training stick; are they listening; who will follow up?

Introducing coaching with the Pro-Hospitality Profile

All the greats in sports or business will tell you a great coach is the key to great achievement.  Most often we expect upper management to be the coach/mentor of our key players.  That's all fine if they are trained and have the time. Many do not and our employees and businesses suffer as a result.  It doesn't have to be that way anymore. Now the resources are here specifically designed to support the Hospitality Industry.

What is the Pro-Hospitality Profile?

The PHP (Pro-Hospitality Profile) is not an intelligence test, a personality test, or an aptitude test. Rather the profile is an assessment to gauge what people value and what they do not value.  These measurements reveal how we make value judgments or decisions about people, guests and situations in the hospitality industry.

If you can understand how someone thinks it is possible to change their thinking patterns.  The result is better performance, communication, cooperation, loyalty, and, ultimately, profitability.

You may already be using personality profiles to help guide your hiring decisions or ensure job congruence.  But who is coaching your employees and what is the road map to influence change in results?

Take a look at what the new Pro-Hospitality Profile can do:

There are differences in what information personality profiles produce and what the Pro-Hospitality  Profile exposes that directly impacts the ability to “change” behavior.  Most personality instruments define who someone “is”; and would agree that after the age of 5, psycho-dynamically, little changes if at all.

The Pro-Hospitality Profile, based in the science of axiology, is designed to expose the “thinking that creates barriers to maximum performance”.  Paradigm shifts become possible with the right map and coach.

Below are some generic examples of the differences in profiles that drive different results:

Personality Profiles vs. the Hartman Pro-Hospitality Profile (Mind Scan)

The PHP is based on the science of formal axiology. A science formalized and introduced in 1955 by Dr. Robert S. Hartman, who was nominated for the Nobel Prize for his work in 1973. Using transfinite calculus (one of the first mathematical tools to predict chaos theory). Dr. Robert Hartman found there were consistent, measurable patterns in our complex thought processes. He created the Hartman Value Profile (now owned by the Robert S. Hartman Institute at the University of Tennessee) as a way to map the patterns of how a person thinks and habitually makes decisions.  The Pro-Hospitality Profile is an exclusive, customized, version of the Hartman Value Profile based on the science of Axiology.

Axiology reveals how people determine the choices they make and identify the patterns of how individuals evaluate people, situations, and themselves. We have over 40,000 thoughts per day. Most of these thoughts are random, repetitive or irrelevant.  The fact is, we reflect on only 5% of the decisions we make. That means that 95% of our decisions are made from habit, without reflection. Axiology reveals our patterns of thinking – our thinking habits. These patterns involve filtering, processing, storing and analyzing data. They include thinking about situations, making judgments and making choices.

Have you ever wondered why a candidate you hired based on the “perfect personality profile” isn’t performing well in your organization?

The fact is, we’re not Nouns; we’re Verbs.[1]  Our environment can influence our behavior or actions.  Although who we “are” is relevant, who we are based on our internal and external worlds is fluid and changeable.  There are few perfect matches.  Though it certainly helps to know who some “is”, there is great need to understand how they  (think) about themselves and the world.

Our Thinking Centers

When we think  we use the three thinking centers that we call: intuition & empathy, practical thinking, and structured thinking. The three centers we use to think about ourselves are called: inner self, outer self and self concept.  The degree of clarity and bias in these "thinking centers" exposes how we make decisions and behave.

It costs about 2 1/2 times an employees salary to replace them
